Monitoring kit

Baby Milk Action's monitoring kit is for anyone keen to hold baby food companies to account in the UK.

It contains a range of resources explaining the UK rules and UN marketing standards. It includes quick reference cards to carry with you with details of how to report violations.

The kit contains the following items:

  • Spot it - report it card (one laminated card and three unlaminated, with key points of the formula marketing rules on one side and how to report violations on the other - with instructions on how to take a picture with a smartphone and send it immediately to Baby Milk Action)

  • Baby Milk Action's quick guide to the breastmilk substitutes marketing standards (double-sided A4 sheet).

  • Analysis of a violation (A5 sheet for communicating how formula advertising is misleading).

  • Look What They're Doing in the UK 2013 monitoring report (8-page A4 size - also available for download).

  • Nestlé formula labels (A4 poster - now Nestlé is pushing the SMA brand of formula in the UK, a reminder of how it breaks its promises to market formula responsibly around the world).
