Demonstration at Nestlé (UK) HQ

Croydon: 11:00 to 12:00 on Saturday 16th May 2009

Click here for a map or paste the postcode CR9 1NR into http://www.streetmap.co.uk/

Click here to register (you can do so anonymously) and to request leaflets. Click here for our leafleting guidelines.

The address is St. George's House, Park Lane, Croydon.

If you cannot make it to Croydon, why not demonstrate outside your nearest Body Shop?

Body Shop has been taken over by L'Oreal - Nestlé own 28.8% of L'Oreal. We have a special leaflet for use at the Body Shop. Click here to download or contact us if you would like us to send you copies.

Nestlé is targeted by the boycott as it is responsible for more violations of the  International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes and subsequent, relevant Resolutions of the World Health Assembly than any other company. The boycott has brought about some important changes. However, Nestlé makes changes only under pressure and has rejected a four-point plant for saving infant lives and ending the boycott. It's main strategy is one of denials and deception, as explained in a new briefing paper, launched in January 2009. See:
Press release 30 January 2009.

There has been a Public Hearing about Nestlé's activities at the European Parliament. UNICEF has set out how Nestlé must make changes. Nestlé lost debate after debate with Baby Milk Action in the period 2001 - 2004 and now refuses to take part. It also refuses to set out terms and conditions for taking part in an independent expert tribunal to examine claim and counter claim in depth.

Demonstrations are effective at putting pressure on Nestlé and exposing its malpractice. Let's try to make the demonstration at Nestlé (UK) HQ bigger in 2009. We hope to see you there. Contact us if you would like additional information.

You can also sign up to the virtual demonstration on the Baby Milk Action facebook group. Click here.

Registration is now closed as this event is over.
